construction
The check blanket is made by assembling individual shapes that are knitted step by step. First, triangles are made to form the bottom edge of the blanket. Then squares follow, which are knitted directly onto the existing shapes using shortened rows, so that the blanket grows bit by bit. The main part of the blanket consists of a repeating pattern sequence, which makes knitting particularly easy and memorable. The blanket can easily be adjusted in size by knitting an additional row or omitting one. However, it is important to always keep an eye on the amount of wool required to ensure that there is enough material.
Size guide
The check blanket can be knitted in 3 different sizes: as a baby blanket, as a normal blanket and as a bedspread. This means there is a suitable variant for every need, whether you are looking for a small blanket for a baby, a cozy blanket for the sofa or a generous bedspread. You can vary the number of rows and shapes accordingly to achieve your desired size.
